Tarzan Jungle Man

This is a clapping game for two and you start by singing:
Verse:

"Tarzan jungle man swinging form a rubber band
Fell down broke his crown
What color was his blood?"

Actions:
Clap your hands once then slap your knees once. Then the other person does the opposite, slapping knees and then clapping hands.
When your partner says "blood" at the end of the song whoever has their hands on their knees chooses a colour. You spell out the colour and then whoever has their hand on their knees puts one hand behind their back until one person has both hands behind their back.
The person remaining is the winner

A Sailor Went To Sea Sea Sea

A sailor went to sea sea sea
To see what he could see see see
And all that he could see see see
Was the bottom of the deep blue sea sea sea.

A sailor went to chop, chop, chop.....

A sailor went to knee, knee, knee.....

A sailor went to toe, toe, toe.....
A sailor went to oo-washy-wash.....

A sailor went to sea, chop, knee, toe, oo-washy-wash...

Who stole the cookies ?

This is a game which can be played in any seating format but is best played with everyone sitting in a circle. It is a game which encourages rhythm and coordination. With young children it is probably best to do without the clapping actions until they understand the what to say.

The Rhyme

( choose someone to begin: person A )

Group : Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar ?
Person A : (name of a child in the group ) stole the cookies from the cookie jar.
Named
Child : Who me ?
Group : Yes you !
Named
Child : Couldn't have been ?
Group : Then who ?
Named
Child : (New Name ) stole the cookies from the cookie jar.

The rhyme is repeated and repeated and repeated.
I Have played this with children ( both native speakers and EFL ) many times and they do not tire of it. They can keep going for ever.

When they are confident with the words then add the actions :

One slap of the knees one clap and one click of the fingers as you say the rhyme.This accomapnies the rhyme throughout.
